Troop 11 is participating in this year’s IN PERSON Webelos Woods event at Camp Brosig – this weekend, October 1-3. As discussed at Monday night's meeting, this year we will again be focusing our efforts on the traditional Troop 11 rope slide and on a knots and lashes demonstration for the visiting Webelos. Cost to attend will be $40 and all food will be provided by the troop – with cooking conducted by scouts needing cooking requirements passed, or by volunteer patrols as needed.
Camp Brosig is available to all registered units for weekend camping year-round. With 20 campsites, a large covered pavilion and a meeting room available for your use, it is the ideal place to hold your next event. This 92-acre property, located six miles north of Sealy, TX, in Austin County, was dedicated on April 17, 1982. The camp was made possible through a bequest from Alva Brosig in 1981.
