9/12/17 update: Volunteering with JJ, pool party, calendar updates, CoH dates, and NYLT

Volunteering this Saturday
Lightning Logistics – 10622 Hirsch Road, Houston 77016.  It is about 13 miles from First Presbyterian Church
Lightning Logistics has taken on the responsibility of taking in, sorting, re-packaging and distributing all of the goods that are purchased/donated through JJ Watt’s efforts. We are confirmed for 9am on Saturday. Class B uniform and closed toe shoes. Boys should bring water too.  Should be a lot more fun than ripping out wet sheetrock. {Note:  We know this will be a long recovery and Troop 11 is committed for the long-haul.  If you know of ways you think the troop can help please let me know.}

Willow Pool Party this Saturday4-6PM
We are not camping this weekend but we are certainly due some fun.  We will be swimming and grilling hot dogs at Willow Pool (10525 Cliffwood Dr).  Please bring sides, fruit, chips, and drinks.

Camping Calendar
For some obvious and some not so obvious reasons, our scheduled toobing trip has been postponed.  Our next campout is Webelos Woods October 6-8.
Tentatively, we are also scheduling a winter backpacking trip to Guadalupe Peak the January 2-7th and a Spring Break (March 10-17) canoeing trip down the Buffalo River in Arkansas.

Court of Honor
Our next Court of Honor is October 16th. The deadline of all award and rank submissions is October 2nd.
