Our October campout is Webelos Woods which means only one thing to the Scouts of Troop 11: ZIPLINE! This year, thanks to hard work harvesting trees last spring, we have even bigger spars available to make this the biggest, fastest ride we’ve ever built!
Also new this year, our first-year Scouts will have the opportunity to finish some of the harder-to-earn requirements leading up to First Class:
Hiking and Navigation: take a 5 mile hike with map and compass
(Tenderfoot #5, Second Class #3, First Class #4)
(Tenderfoot #4, Second class #6, and First Class #7)

Knots and Lashings
(Tenderfoot #3, Second class #2f, #2g, and First Class #3)
We will be hosting dens from Pack 11 and 34 at our campsite as well as receiving visits from many other Webelos and Scouts throughout the day.

Adult Training Required to Participate
Webelos Woods is an opportunity for Webelos and their parents to visit with a number of troops in order to figure out which one is the best fit for them. As such, parents of Webelos do not need to have completed any official adult training in order to attend this event.
For other adults, not related to a visiting Webelo, the Troop and the BSA require all participating adults to have completed several training courses prior to attending troop activities. We encourage adults, both men and women, to be actively involved with the troop’s activities and to spend a few minutes going through three online training courses.
- Youth Protection Training for Boy Scouts
- Fast Start Orientation Training for Boy Scouts
- This is Scouting for Boy Scouts
If you are interested in becoming an Assistant Scoutmaster, additional in-person training is required. Speak to any adult leader to find out more.
